Danielle Pitts
Design and Merchandising

Danielle honed her design and style forecasting skills while working in Paris trend-forecasting for lingerie and beachwear. She moved to New York where as design director and VP of Design for several major lingerie brands she lead the launch of new lingerie lines for retailers like Macy’s and XOXO. She has also done design work for Bra D’More and Fredrick’s of Hollywood.

While working at Ariela-Alpha International she designed and merchandised the national launch of L.E.I. girl’s/juniors bras, sleepwear, knit tops and woven apparel for Walmart.

Danielle is especially motivating in meetings with retailers where, rather than fighting for her designs, she listens to the retailers input and utilizing that input manages a compromise that retains the strategic salability required for a successful assortment while ensuring retailer buy-in.

Danielle has been an independent design consultant for 5 years working in various industries including hosiery, tops, bottoms and lingerie.

Danielle studied design at the School of The Art Institute of Chicago and Graduated cum laude from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She continued her studies in Paris where she studied at The American University of Paris.

Joe Brisson

With over 35 years of experience in retail, Joe has a demonstrated understanding of a wide range of positions within the industry. As a store, district, and divisional manager at the beginning of his career, Joe was able to build a strong foundation in some of the highest volume areas in the country.

In his position as buyer and senior buyer for men’s knit shirts, Joe implemented a number of programs that increased sales while reducing logistical timelines.  Joe utilized his field experience at the corporate level to develop novel solutions, which ultimately increased store traffic and volume. Joe explored newly emerging countries, where he successfully pioneered the current gold standard in domestic and overseas replenishment programs. These trips, and the business relationships that were created, allowed for Joe to obtain quality product at low prices that lead to an increase in sales and profits over the majority of his career. As an experienced researcher, negotiator, planner, buyer, marketer, and advertiser, Joe has gained a reputation as one of the most well respected and creative merchants in the industry. Twice voted “Top Buyer” by Retail Merchandiser magazine, Joe has conceptualized, initiated, and implemented keynote programs in numerous categories including large private label programs such as Jaclyn Smith, Joe Boxer, Sofia Vergara, and Athletech. As a proven influential and impactful team member, Joe has shown an ability to form strong business partnerships with national brands, as well as private label suppliers, allowing for effective collaboration and ultimate success.

Joe spent over 10 years as the buyer of Family Hosiery. His insight into merchandising gave his company a significant sales boost by growing Family Hosiery at a time when other retailers were struggling in sales and suffering significant declines.  He recognized the nature of the category and took the opportunity to capitalize, while ensuring consumer needs were met and drove substantial margin increases each year.

The frequent use of corrugate displays was one of the largest volume drivers and became an area of Joe’s expertise.  Joe implemented unique ideas, which were responsible for driving significant volume.  Beyond the creation of unique displays, Joe developed novel methods for the replenishment of the displays, which allowed for the continued success of the programs while decreasing store labor by 85%.

Joe’s creativity and knowledge of the retail industry can be channeled to help any company to increase their customer base and/or increase their volume and profitability.  His insight in importing, replenishment, and retail requirements will provide off-shore manufacturers the insight necessary to ship directly to retailers and increase profits.
